Loading and viewing samples

with DNA Baser

There are three ways to open your DNA sample files in DNA Sequence Assembler:

 

  1. Double click the sample in the Sample Explorer in Project Manager
  2. In the main window, use the File menu, then click 'Open SCF/ABI/SEQ/FASTA' (see screenshot below)
  3. In Microsoft Windows Explorer double click your sample file. This work only if the 'Associate DNA Baser with DNA sample files' function is active.

Chromatogram Editor

 

The chromatograms are open in the Chromatogram Editor window where you can:

 

 

 

Sequence Editor

 

Plain sequences (Fasta, Seq, Txt) are open in the Sequence Editor where you can:

  • edit bases
  • delete bases
  • insert bases
  • convert it to a different format

 

 

 

 

Formats supported

 

DNA Sequence Assembler support all popular DNA file formats used in biology. SFF (NextGen) samples can we open in SFF Workbench.

 

 

Converting between miscellaneous file formats

 

DNA Sequence Assembler can also convert your samples to miscellaneous formats.

To do so, simple open your DNA sample and save it or convert it to a different format. If you have hundreds or thousands of files use our Batch Sequence Processing tools.
